Today marks the 3rd week of Advent. Today Jesus talks about John the Baptist. He told about the coming of Jesus. We also know from the scripture that John was the son of Mary’s cousin Elizabeth. John told the people to prepare the way for the coming of God. This week we light the third candle. This candle is pink. It symbolizes joy. Think about the joy that comes from the love of Jesus. May we spread the joy of Jesus’ love with everyone we meet.In this Advent season, we can plan weekly actions that help us to prepare for the coming of Jesus. How can you open your heart to get ready for Jesus?
God our Father, help us to continue to keep peace in our hearts as we come closer to Christmas. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen
We have a very busy last week of school before the Christmas holidays. We hope to wrap up our descriptive writing and decimal work before the holidays. A few things happening this week to take note of..this coming Thursday we will be having a craft open house from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Please feel free to join your child in his/her 3rd block classroom to take part in the craft. On Friday December 18 at 9:30 join us for our advent mass over at the church. I will be holding an additional craft morning this coming Tuesday. If anyone is free and would like to come and join us as we make a nativity scene craft please feel free to do so. We will begin at 9:45. I would like to take this time to wish each and every one of you a very safe and Merry Christmas. We will see you back in 2016!
